Canned pumpkin!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to whomever it was who posted on here that they had found canned pumpkin at Waitrose.  I've been mourning the loss of my supply from a local dept store that closed their food section down.  I had to drive to another county to find a Waitrose, but sure enough, they had it there and I bought out the whole stock!!

I had a friend get me some from Booths last year, but I didn't end up using all of it - I still have 3 cans left!  So we're going to use them this year! 

I've got two cans from waitrose I need to use up.

I've got 3 cans I've had for at least 2 years... better check the expiry dates. 

FWIW, not all Waitroses have canned pumpkin.  I've checked 2 now that do not...was hoping to avoid a trip out to another part of town, but since that's where I got my pumpkin last year I might just have to, since the Waitroses closer to home don't seem to stock it.

As a bit of randomness, my husband FINALLY found his beloved Chipotle Tabasco sauce in a Waitrose in Kingston (Surrey) - we've been looking for absolutely months.

I've had no luck at the Waitrose near me (Romsey and Salisbury).  Has anyone seen it at any of the other grocery stores?

It's funny.  I only used it here and there before I came here, but since I've come here I make pumpkin cookies or bread with chocolate, curried pumpkin soup, and the occasional pumpkin pie.  I laugh that I've come here and use it all the time now.

What section / aisle did you find the pumpkin?  I need to drag DH to get some.   

It's with the tinned fruit (dessert-y type stuff) and pastry cases and rice pudding & stuff like that.
