My favourite thing to make with my old ice cream maker (which I soooo miss :\\\'() was a not quite sorbet. I'm not sure what you would call it. I think I can remember how I did it . . . I would get a big bunch of raspberries and/or strawberries (a combination of fresh or frozen often worked well) blend them up (and maybe strain out any seeds). Then I'd add sugar, the juice of a lemon, and a container of buttermilk. Now I know that may sound like an odd combination, but I'm telling you, the end result was heavenly. It has this really unusual flavour that is just lovely and everyone who tried it would love it. It was also super easy and a nice refreshing treat to just pop out when you are in the mood for one but don't want to put in work.
