Are those wedding bells I hear ringing?!!!!!
« on: February 18, 2009, 12:43:31 PM »
For Yorkshire's (and UKY's) own lovely June Cleaver this coming Friday afternoon?!!!!  ;D

And do you have it all ready to go - you know: something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a silver sixpence in your shoe?  (although we always said 'and a penny in your shoe')

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

Thank you so much for the happy wishes.   [smiley=blush.gif]

I think everything is ready.  I hope so.
Something old - I have a tiny handkerchief from when I was a very little girl, my mom would tie two nickels in it for my Sunday School offering.
Something new - A fine and delicate silver heart necklace, my son Joe bought it for me to wear on my wedding day.
Something borrowed - ? ? ?
Something blue - A lacy blue garter from my niece.
A silver sixpence - I'm not sure where to find one of those, maybe the in-laws can help.

Fingers crossed for clear skies.   :)

Swelch2 and I were lucky enough to see the happy couple last night.

The bride was wearing a new black coat and was absolutely glowing.
The groom looked as proud as could be.

There were many good wishes and congratulations and I'm not ashamed to say that a few eyes appeared a little wet.

And for some reason it seems that everybody's "something blue" is the requisite lacy garter (which I too had on my wedding day, as did everyone I know).

Best wishes June for a happy, memorable day.

Something borrowed - ? ? ?

You Harrogate ladies - exjerseygirl?  swelch2?  cinbin?  You've GOT to loan her something...even if it's a fiver!  :D

A silver sixpence - I'm not sure where to find one of those, maybe the in-laws can help.

If not, maybe a penny would do?  That's what we said where I come from back in the old new country.
