From NYC to London
« on: June 15, 2004, 10:13:13 PM »
Hi all!  I just joined and wanted to say hello.  I'm a 30 year old female currently living in NYC.  I recently accepted a job offer in London and will be crossing the pond in just a few short weeks.  I'm looking forward to the move but the reality of it all is starting to set in....I'm actually moving to another country!

I've been looking around the site and am sure that I will have questions shortly...thanks in advance...

Welcome on board! Plenty of NYers on this site both here (London) and across the pond.

Don't worry.  London and NYC aren't that different. They're both just really big cities with lots of tourists to get in your way when you're trying to get to work in the morning.  And there's more curry houses in London.  Other than that, you'll feel right at home.  :)

Have a great trip and enjoy all the chaos of the move....you'll look back on it fondly once it's all over, trust me!  :)

Welcome to UKY!!

Hi there,  Welcome!  I'm a NYer, moved from the city last year.  Any questions please ask!  I don't live in London, but I am very close.
