Tesco Discount Brands
« on: February 22, 2009, 10:03:44 PM »
Have any of you tried some of the Tesco Discount Brands?  I actually think some of them are pretty good.

The Curry Leaf Indian cooking sauces are quite good I thought.

What is your opinion or faves on these brands?

DH says that the stripes are a warning and we should stay away from the Tesco Discount Brands.  Ha!  I don't mind them at all.  I haven't tried any of those Indian sauces...maybe I will!

Me too, but Sainbury gave me gastroenteritis this weekend, apparently I am not the only one......so I am staying away from them for the time being  ;)

I am not taking about the blue stripe stuff...more the alternative brands they have brought in.. :)

I don't know I bought a giant roll of TDB tp and it lasted less time than the 4 pack I usually buy- I think you get what you pay for.  In the end it cost me more.  I've never tried the food though...

Oh.  I don't think I've seen those.  Lidl and Asda are our two stores within walking distance, so I don't get to Tesco too often.  I did try those Lidl tomatoes - they're great!

I think they are exactly the same as the normal Tesco own label stuff, they are just trying to jazz them up and trick us into thinking they are proper brands.
Saying that, the Springforce tissues are ok.
Good things come to those who wait...a really long time.
