US Massage Therapist wanting to move to England
« on: February 23, 2009, 05:17:19 PM »
Hello hello to all!  First and foremost, I want to say that this website has brought me some hope in moving to England.

I'm posting because I am a 21 year old Massage Therapist in the states who has no college degree, no English relatives, no relatives who live in England, and at current time, no potential English husband (But I can still hope that one day I will! :) ).  For some crazy reason, I feel the need to move out there, but I have no clue where Massage Therapy fits when it comes to UK Work Permits, nor do I know what the requirements are to be considered a Certified Massage Therapist/Body Worker.

If anyone has ANY information on this or any ideas as to where I should look, I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you so much!

<3 Alexandra

P.S. Just to let you know, I have checked out the BIA website and I have e-mailed them about this.  I haven't heard back from them yet.

If you're looking to the work related route to come to the UK here are your options:

Good luck..you're going to need it.

In short, there is no way this can happen unless you get some professional and academic qualifications, and even then it is unlikely.
