Provolone Cheese
« on: March 27, 2009, 10:21:31 AM »
Can anyone tell me where I might find provolone cheese in Yorkshire?  Up until now, I haven't really looked for it.

Sainsbury's? Marks And Spencer? Morrisons?

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

You've clearly not been on a search for provolone!  ;)

OK you're right. I just asked a colleague who said he got some from Waitrose the other week.

I've never seen it in Waitrose, but I guess different places have different stock.

I buy it at a local deli, they even have the picante provolone which I love!  But sadly it is really expensive and instead of coming sliced it comes in little wedges which makes it almost impossible to slice of sandwiches.

I know that Morrison's and Asda near me don't carry it.  I don't live near a Waitrose.  However, I did find mozzarella slices and for now, that will be fine.  Thanks for all the replies though.
