Nah you're not delirious...just missing home is all. When you get back and settled in we'll have to get together for coffee or something...best of luck to you.

That would be nice!
Thanks, Weby!

I'm in East Midlands as well, what part of Nottingham will you be in?

WebyJ, Derby is one of my favorite counties.

Well then maybe when Mum gets home we should organize a meet up in Derby! The closer the better for me 'cause I've got a munchkin.

We're right on the border between Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. We fall under Derbyshire services/schools but have a Nottingham address. We live near Junction 25 of the M1.

That would be cool! When I lived in the UK 10 years ago, I was so desperate to meet other Americans. I didn't find another American in my area until about 3 weeks before we headed back to the US. Rotten timing! it was o

Last summer it was only because I was doing a search on ex-pats in the UK that I even found the UK-Yankee board. I had no idea it was a great source for visa information until months and months later  when I started poking around the entire forum. By then it was too late to use the resources here to save my family these past couple of months of separation and heartache.

Anyway, I would love to meet up with other fellow Americans in the area!
