Crikey, I knew about the Channel Islands being booted off the NHS reciprocal scheme, I didn't realise it was the IOM as well.  That is apalling.

Hello,
I'm on a fiance visa and have just received my NHS card (SO quick and easy, seems too good to be true!) so I don't have any American insurance anymore.

I am here on a fiance' visa as well, but my visa specifically states NO WORK OR RECOURSE TO PUBLIC FUNDS.

How is it you have an NHS card while still being here under the fiance' visa (as in not married to your Brit yet). Did I miss something? It was my understanding that I cannot receive any medical assistance through the NHS until after we marry.

NHS care isn't counted as "public funds"

ETA: The sticky thread (even though it refers to spousal visas) at the top of the section has details of the policy - but if you are coming to the UK to settle, then you are eligible for NHS treatment from day one (AIUI!)
