Late introduction
« on: June 09, 2004, 06:43:45 PM »
Hello all!

I've been on this site now for a few months now so it may seem a bit late to introduce myself. I dont mean to be unsocial! I just didn't know about this part of the site until I had been online for a while.

I was born and raised in Connecticut, but spent most of my adult life living in Manhattan. I married a British woman seven years ago and have been living in the UK for five years. My wife and I are seperated now, but I'm still living here untill I finish  my masters in history.

A quick look at my previous postings shows that I'm one of those members who's not shy about sharing my opinion! To be honest the main reason I joined the sight was and still is meet to other people over here who might be sharing simmilar experiences in culture clash as Americans abroad. With the pending divorce I really could use all the friends in this hemisphere I can get.

looking forward to meeting you all and making new mates!

Scoobie

Better late than never  ;)

It is nice to know a little more about people - so thanks for the intro! Good luck with the divorce process - that's no fun.
Take care!!!

Hiya Scoobie!  Thanks for stopping by finally and introducing yourself formally.  Now I won't have the send the hounds out for you. ;D

Nice to finally read an intro from you! Mine's no longer here as it was eaten by a forum glitch after what seemed like only hours after it was posted all those months ago (along with my very first posts); so I'm not sure if anyone got to read it really.  :-\\\\ I tried not to take it personnally.  ;) ::)

I, too, am sorry to hear about the separation though.  :( Do you plan on staying after getting your Masters?

Sorry for getting back so late. Probably not is what I'm thinking at this point. I may change my mind over the next year or so.

Cheers, Wulfstan; but its not my creation, so I can't take credit. I got it off of Baz Lurmans rap tune "sunscreen", and I think he got it off of a Washington Times article. I don't know where she got it.....

I'm no longer going to be posting on this site.

I've had several of my responce postings aggressivly deleted a small hard core of members who dont seem to tolerate anything but a far right perspective. I don't think this is a majority of members, but a vocal minority.
