I cannot believe that we have the spouse settlement visa from LA approved in 1 day!! I had never heard about the expiditer services until joining this forum - and after making a few phone calls we were amazed at the difference between them. The first company I called from the Worldbridge site (picked at random) said at first that the visa would take a few days but could take a week or so, the second company told me not to bother paying for the nex day service ($160)as there was no chance of getting a settlemet visa in 1 day so recommended their 10 day service and but this may be very optimistic. After reading Willow22's post I contacted the service she used and paid $150 (please PM me fo details). He was fabulous! He offered us information and submitted the application this morning and called me at 5pm to tell us it was approved. Our situation was perhaps different to many applying for a spouse visa as we have been married for 9 years but have both been living in the US for over 4 years.
I would like to thank WebyJ, historyenne, Willow22 (for her comprehensive list of supporting evidence) and everyone who replied to my original posts back in Sptember 2008 when we were first thinking of moving back to the UK.
I hope that I can be of assistance to anyone going through the same process.
