Any other fans out there?

Charlie Brooker's Newswipe

Episode 5 (still viewable on I-Player for 5 more days!) has a great piece about Fox News on it!  ;D

DH has been watching this show, and I'm starting to watch as well.  It's a hoot!

We love this show and I am surprised the series is only 5 episodes.

The website was showing something about a 6th episode coming up?

I love Charlie Brooker, I have these on DVR but haven't watched them yet.

There's six if you count the compilation episode.  I went by what he was saying in the compilation show (which he didn't count).

I don't think I've laughed out loud as much during a show in a very long time before I found his shows.

I love this show! I've been watching his Screen Burn stuff for ages now, and (with the exception of that AWFUL poet we just fast-forward through) Newswipe is just as fantastic. I only hope the next series will be 4 or 5 episodes per week like the Daily Show...
Summer 97 - first visited friends in London
99-00 - studied at Uni of Sussex on exchange
Feb 02 - moved to London on BUNAC
Sep 02 - WP granted (IT skills shortage list)
Sep 04 - WP renewed
Sep 06 - WP renewed again (screwed by 4-5 year ILR change)
Sep 07 - ILR!
March 09 - Citizenship!
July 09 - bone marrow transplant :(
18 Sep 10 - wedding!
Mar 12 - half marathon in Paris! 1:47:12!
Oct 12 - Amsterdam FULL marathon! 3:48:23!

I totally agree about the poet!

Finally watched the last one of this series on iPlayer.  Great except where he picked on how Diane Sawyer interviewed Susan Boyle without explaining it was on gmtv.  Yeah, I totally agree that it was condescending and cutesy, but isn't that how gmtv is here as well?  I have to admit it made me remember why I never watched the morning news programs in the States (or here for that matter).

The news seems ok before 8:30 then it seems like they assume all the non-mommies have gone off to work and they fill the air with stupid stuff.
