Sheffield Buses
« on: May 01, 2009, 09:49:39 PM »
I have a job interview in Sheffield and I have to take a bus from the city centre to the interview.

I've been to Sheffield before, but I've never used their public transport.

Is there anything I should know? How reliable are the buses? Do I need to purchase a ticket in advance? etc.  ?

The buses are pretty reliable, but of course during peak times they can get caught in traffic like any other vehicles.  You don't need to buy a ticket in advance, but depending on how far you're going it may be cheaper to buy a dayrider (available from the driver.)  I use public transport here all the time all over the city so I'm pretty well versed in bus routes! :) And I have really good geographical knowledge of the city generally so if you ever wanted more specific info on where you're going, feel free to PM.
