Does your wife have any/many points?

If not then why not say she was driving on one occassion and you were driving on the other - that way you will only get three points, she will get three points.....assuming she is insured to use the vehicle.

marriage is all about sharing.... ;)

I've got a friend who is a magistrate in Birmingham.  Not a workweek goes by that she doesn't hand out a conviction to someone for obstruction of justice for doing this very thing.  Most times, it's a woman trying to get her partner/husband out of getting disqualified.

She's had people in there crying that they'll lose their job if they get convicted of obstructing justice or if they are disqualified and her answer is always the same:  then you should have thought about that before lying/speeding anymore.

It's not like it's, 'Surprise!  You're banned!'

Whenever someone's a ticket away from getting disqualified, and their car is flashed, it's something the police always check for - who was driving the car.

It's not hard to find out, either.

I really, really wouldn't recommend this.

obstruction of justice

I really, really wouldn't recommend this.

I have to agree 100%. Really bad advice by that guy. It is a criminal offence and as such would get you a criminal record, would look really bad on a CV, and would lead to a fail on a CRB check.

Thanks for the great advice everyone, especially on the what NOT to do in regards to who we tag this with. Regardless, I'd already pretty much decided that was a bad idea and am submitting them authentically in my name and all.

We'll see what happens next!

No advice Paul sorry. I'm a former lead foot and now I'm far too scared of the roads here to even consider driving. The ONE thing that is tempting me would be the Nissan Figaro I want very badly lol.

However, If you ever find yourself in Brighton I highly rec the Bar in the Hotel Du Vin. They have one of the nicest Scotch menu's I've seen over here. DF enjoyed a double Suntory!
