Any WW's new 'Discover Plan' followers?
« on: July 13, 2009, 08:14:51 PM »
Hi all,

I've lost weight in the past on WW and will likely re-start it again soon.
However, I prefer to do it on my own (i.e. not paying to join weekly or online meetings) as I still have all the paperwork, Points counters, etc and even the Core Plan menus.  However I see that there is now a new 'Discover Plan'.  I have been to the website and it is rather vague.  It appears to be a plan that attempts to conquer bored/emotional/mindless eating. However, I don't know if there is more to it than that or if it is all talk. Any one else on WW have more info? Any feedback on the plan?

cheers
Tulip

I am re-starting myself.  (been doing slimmingworld, which isn't bad, but I'm just more comfortable using the points for the kick off weight loss).  Anyway, Discover uses the same typical points system, although in the UK (which is definitely different than the US plan, which is what I think I might just do) you don't get the Flex Points per week, but rather you can earn more points w/exercise.  I didn't really care for UK WW, so I switched to Slimmingworld, which is fine, but I don't think it's a good fit and I keep going up and down in weight.  (always the same few pounds!)

I still have all my old stuff, so I really just might go back to the old Flex and Core methods and just count out the pts per week and all that.  I find the WW food here is pointed a bit differently, but I can use my typical rule of thumb that is 50cal= 1 pt and it works out pretty well.
