Hampton Court Food Festival
« on: May 21, 2009, 06:23:54 PM »
I accidently stumbled on the website for this event being held at Hampton Court in Kingston this weekend. Sounds fun and if you buy tickets from that site, they are 2 for 1.

I'll be in the champagne tasting tent!  ;)

Oooh that looks good! If I'm feeling better by tomorrow, we might go on sat.
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

When are you going?

Saturday. I think we're going to take the train because the traffic in and out of Kingston is pretty bad on a normal day.

It would be nice to have a mini meet-up for anyone going on Saturday. Maybe for a cocktail?  :)

Just got home from the festival. We had a really nice time. We ate a ton and I enjoyed a mini-bottle of Veuve with a special sippy top and a couple glasses of other champagne.  :P

We paid for our entrance but I got the feeling that people were just walking in without paying... not sure what that was about, but either way, it was worth it. We didn't watch any of the demos, but Ed Baines was there and several other chefs. Tomorrow, Jun Tanaka, Mat Follas, the Masterchef winner and others will be doing demos. Great food and lovely weather. It's on tomorrow and Monday too, so if you are nearby and free, I recommend going.  :)

That sounds like the best invention EVER!
