Day trips -- Cool places within a short drive of your house

One nice thing about the UK compared to the US is that things are much closer together, so (in theory) there are a lot more things to do much closer to home.

What are some of your favourite places to go that don't require a major road trip?

Bath, Cheddar, Stonehenge, Avebury, Glastonbury, Bristol, Cardiff, New Forest, Bournemouth, Lyme Regis, London.

Chichester, Glastonbury, Oxford, Watership Down, Danebury Ring, Coombe Gibbit, Anywhere in Devon or Cornwall...
