I can finally book my dogs in tomorrow for our flight, and I'm headed to the Vet tomorrow to get her to fill out the EU998 form. I have an appt. with USDA for the 29th, which is 9 days before I travel. I keep seeming to get different responses out of different people at BA about what paperwork I need. They said that I need the EU998 form, as well as a health certificate-fitness to fly from my regular vet 10 days out...they said I don't need the APHIS form...I'm so paranoid! I don't want to get to the airport to find out that I DID need it, then I'm screwed...but I'm also happy to not have to run around and pay for the extra paperwork if I don't need it.
Anyone else fly their pets BA that can put my mind to ease? Thanks!

When I flew in Sept 08, BA did not require the APHIS 7001.

Best of luck with the move!

And when I flew in October 2006, BA *did* want the APHIS.  I'm going to assume the policy changed somewhere along the way between my move and hollyberry's (we both flew from Atlanta) but personally I'd bring both just to cover my bases!  (Both my vet and the USDA vet charged me a single fee for completing/endorsing all my paperwork, so I wouldn't have been out any money if my form had been extraneous.  Obviously, YMMV. :))

Annie - Can you give us an update on your experience?  Did you need the APHIS form?

I didn't need the APHIS form for BA--they just require a private Vet health certificate to fly the dogs. DEFRA only require the EU998 form, it's the airline that wants the APHIS form, if they require it.
