aww, I'd totally go with you but Derby is a bit far from London, I'm up for seeing it again - but this time - IMAX!!!!

I agree.  I thought Bones was terrific!  Scotty, too. 

When referring to what's farfetched, the technicalities of field promotion in Star Fleet wither into gray pallor beside Uhura's uniform.  It's impossibly slinky and bizarrely out-of-place on the bridge of a military vessel.  But hey, who's complaining?

I thought Uhura's uniform was pefect and in keeping with the original Star Trek.

I loved it too.  I thought they would resolve the whole parallel world issue at the end, but I guess that will be for another time. 

We saw it last Friday- as a long time Star Trek fan, I absolutely loved it.  Loved all the little in-jokes, too!  But a great movie regardless if you're into Star Trek or not.  The plot, admittedly flimsy in places, but in the end, it didn't really matter. SO much fun!  I just wish there had been more Scotty in it- he was awesome!

Bumping this, because I FINALLY got to see this last night!!! DH kept telling me that I was a big sad geek throughout the whole movie. But I LOOOOOOOVED it.

Though I heard William Shatner was going to have a cameo... Was a little disappointed that he was not in it. But was pleasantly surprised about Leonard Nimoy!

Congrats! When they first said that "anyone can watch it" I was a bit skeptical but after the movie ended I was temporally blind from over-exposure to pure awesomeness
