Take That
« on: July 25, 2009, 11:27:09 AM »
Is anyone else here a fan of the manband?  I'm a huge fan, and it's one of my favourite things about the UK!!!  My husband said to me a few weeks ago what would you miss most if we moved back to America?  My answer was Take That!  LOL!!!  I'm probably totally embarassing myself by starting this thread, but I was curious to see if anyone else here liked them like I do.

I quite liked them in 1993/94, but I was 10 years old then and it wasn't 'cool' to like Take That so I never actually admitted it :P. I like them more now - the second time around (I think they've got better with age ;)) - and I enjoy listening (and reminiscing) to all their old songs too :). I wish now that I'd got tickets to one of their recent shows because it would have been really cool to see them live :).

They are okay, I loved them when I was a student here in 1993. They played at the Cricket Ground which is right near my house and it was sooo loud, everynight for 5 nights it was really disturbing to my life. I was glad when it was over. When I left for work at 8 am, there were already people lining up to get in, and when it was the afternoon, people were lined up all the way down to my house (like 4 streets away) to get in.

I know its silly, but it put me off Take That completely.
