Lists!

Thanks so much for all the lists on here--they have been unbelievably helpful so far.

I was wondering if maybe a new list could be started: Things to do before the move.

I'm sure I am not thinking of things that I should/have to do before I move. I've got 7 weeks, what should I be doing?

It's been a while since I moved, but here are a couple of things off the top of my head. I'm sure others can add to the list:

Cancel utilities
Cancel newspaper delivery
Fill out change of address card at post office
Get copy of records from doctor
Cancel magazine subscriptions (or transfer to a friend)
Inform insurance company of new address
Inform bank of new address


... pack, pack and pack!!!

Try this site.  there are others, this one was the first one I found.  Everytime I've moved, I've used almost identical check-lists.  they're very helpful.  Good luck.  Moving is such a pain!!  And pack, pack, pack...
