Costco Membership
« on: September 02, 2009, 06:54:36 PM »
I hope it's okay to ask this here...

I'm moving to the UK on a Tier 4 student visa (not that this makes any difference...), but anyway, I would like to have a Costco membership in the UK. I realize there are different restrictions for joining over there, but since the membership is worldwide, I can just get my membership here? Does my Costco card have to have my photo on it or is using a photo-less one okay?

Also, what American goodies have you spotted there?

From what I've heard membership (ie getting a card) is more restricted in the UK so best thing is to get a card while in the US and just use it here (from what I've heard should be no prob).

Do you know if it needs to be the kind with the photo on it? I guess it doesn't really matter too much -- I'll just make sure I'm the primary person on the account to be safe.

By the way, I know you from LJ! I'm whisperedsighs over there. :)

I don't have my picture on mine from the US and it worked just fine.  They did ask for a photo ID at checkout but you would probably carry a photo ID anyway.
