The decision has been made: Christmas it is. I really preferred the idea of heading home over Thanksgiving but maybe we can get under the skin of our proudly British friends by celebrating America's independence from them with them!
As phatbeetle noted, it will likely be easier to get time off around the holiday. Since I am in the market for a job, I think having two weeks off in November might be a bit risky for employers that are looking for someone with immediate availability.
