Man with Van, clarification of definition?
« on: September 15, 2009, 02:59:34 PM »
Ok, before I call to arrange for goods to be moved from a local uk storage bin to the flat, I would like to clarify something... Does "man with van" mean that they will pick up boxes and do heavy lifting, or does it just mean they do the driving?

What has your "man with van" done?

I just need to clarify this because I don't want to be the idiot who calls the man with van and says something stupid and has to pay more/ or do more heavy lifting because I said it. I assure you, I am still a dumb American here and I say the wrong stuff ALL the time. Please help!

Thanks,

rutabega

They usually do most of the loading & unloading. If it's only 1 man you may need to help though.  They can usually bring another guy along if you pay a bit extra.
