And we're losing that 25% student discount on council tax we've grown accustomed to!

Jewelz- ( I am horrible at the quoting thing) I have been reading about Lupe Pinto's on here for ages, so glad to hear it's in Edinburgh. And Colchester isn't the most diverse place to be. We are a mixed race family so diversity is important to us.

I have been in contact with some letting agencies. Yikes! The advice on my previous thread was so true- it's not a cheap place to live!
What if the Hokey Pokey is what it's all about?

Edinburgh may as well be in England in terms of its relationship to the rest of Scotland.  I don't mean that as a diss because I lived there for 4 years and I adore it, but you wont notice any real differences I don't think.  It's absolutely beautiful though, surely in the Top 10 most beautiful cities in the world.

You won't when the council sends you the council tax book and you see how much they charge for it.

Yep, I probably should have said "added on to" rather than "included in."

I'd be doing a happy dance if I wasn't 9 months pregnant and could actually move!!! :)

I'm sure you will love it there. It truly is a beautiful city.
