Is it legal to ship Motrin from US to UK?

My dad is sending a birthday care package and I want a bottle of motrin but it accord to me it might be illegal, thought I would ask. 

Motrin is ibuprofen, right? That's not a banned substance here so you should be ok to have one bottle for personal use sent to you. But is it that different from the ibuprofen you can buy here?

It's most likley just a larger quantity than the 16 pills per pack available here.

It is Ibuprofen yes and probably isn't any different, other then the quantity and the mental satisfaction that it is what I have always used when I REALLY needing something to kill the pain.

Yes, you can buy up to 100 ibuprofen tablets at a time from a pharmacy here.

I thought you were permitted to import a 90 days supply of whatever OTC you needed?

My dad has sent me giant bottles of ibuprofen many times without any problems. Honestly, it never even occurred to me that it might be illegal. So I'll continue to have him send it! 

Another ibuprofen option is if you have a trade membership to Costco--they have big multi-packs of ibuprofen and paracetamol.  I wasn't sure if I could buy them or not, but I now have a very large supply of both at home.
