PMs to more than 5 people?

I just received an error message saying I can't send a PM to more than 5 recipients at once. Please can this be changed?!

What?? How can that be??

There's always been a limit, but it was a lot more than 5!!! When I've done the holiday gift swap and have sent PMs to all the participants, I've had to do it in 2 or 3 batches. I wonder if it somehow accidentally got lowered to 5. Please fix it, Leah!!!

I'm afraid not. The server was blacklisted as a spammer last night for bulk emails of PM notifications to recipients. All emails were bouncing as blocked due to blacklisting. I've had the blacklist lifted but if it happens too many times they won't lift it again. Sorry, I've had to limit PM use. I'd advise using Facebook or email for mass messaging.

Oh no!! Can't the email notifications be turned off rather than limiting PMs?

 :\\\'( I like group PMs and I have my email notifications turned off anyway...

I've bumped it up to 10, but I'll write a custom mod to disable notifications for regular users tomorrow hopefully.
