Flying while pregnant

I flew from NYC to Heathrow when I was about 6 months gone. No problems at all. Just made sure I had plenty of fluids.

The crew was very nice, (american airlines), I originally sat in an aisle seat next to some lady and at that point I was awake for ages and so exausted so tried to go to sleep, the crew noticed I was pregnant and took me to the middle part of the plane (where theres like 5 seats in a row) no one else was sitting in that row and I was able to have all the room I needed and was able to lay down (when it was safe to do so)

Actually this is not true, and such a blanket statement is unwise and misleading. Most airlines will require a doctors certificate if you want to fly after a certain time. So it's best to check with each individual airline to make sure that you do not have to get one before travelling
American Airlines: Delta: United Airlines: Northwest: Southwest: KLM: Virgin: BA:Lufthansa: Continental: These are the airlines that my brain could come up with this early in the morning, so as you can see it's not as straightforward as you think. It's always best to check with your specific airline as to their policies before booking your tickets.

First of all, I wasn't intending to be misleading. Second, I specifically said American based airlines, not international ones, and I still stand firm that 'most' (american based ones) don't require a certificate, only 2 of the ones mentioned do. I have no idea on international based ones, which is half of what you mentioned.

Again, I was not trying to be misleading. I flew all the time while I was pregnant and never once was asked for a certificate. Just drink lots of water, walk alot, and wear compression socks.
