And introducing...
« on: July 28, 2004, 10:38:21 AM »
Hi everyone!  After many months of visiting this website for tips and advice I've finally become a member!  I've been in England for over a year now, but I'm a bit delayed on community building.  I'm living in NW London with my English husband.

I'm originally from Texas, and as many things that annoyed/frustrated me about living in Texas I now miss it--ironic, isn't it?  Like 100 degree heat when I'm wearing a sweater in July!!!

I hope to chat with many of you and hopefully make some new friends!   :D

Hey Kitty - welcome...I am moving to NW London in the near future...and we are having a gathering in London in the near future (check out the board on meetings if you are interested).  Hope you can give me some info about NW London (where to shop or get hair done?)...

Welcome, Kitty, from a fellow Texan........not sure exactly what part you are from....but right now, I wouldn't wanna be in the Dallas area (I'm listening to the radio station and they've had 8-12 inches in less than 8 hours!) Typical Texas, when it rains......its pours! lol

Awwww, makes me miss the sound of thunder. For the amount of rain we get here we rarely hear thunder. I kinda miss that :o

Same here, though it's actually thundering right now!!  :D :D :D I have my candles all ready for when the power goes out although I know deep down that it won't.  :-\\\\

Welcome Kitty and treasure what little warm weather there is here. Heatwave this week is expected to get up to about 86, I heard.  :-\\\\

Thanks for the welcome!  I'm from College Station originally (NOT an Aggie) and lived in Austin before I moved here--god I miss Trudy's, Kerbey Lane--tex mex restaurants of course.  I miss the sound of thunder too.  Those great Texas thunderstorms that just roll across the state.  You never get that here.

Onetiger-will give you any info I have on NW London, but I haven't even had my hair cut yet, and I've been here 6 months!  What's wrong with me?  I'll check out the meetings boards, thanks again! ;D
