Fresh & Easy

I'm currently in AZ visiting my family and I was taken to a store last night that's opened up since the last time I've been here. Fresh & Easy. Never heard of it and then I was told it's a UK store.

So I look it up and it's part of Tesco!

Anyone else been to one? I guess it's supposed to be like a small local market. My mother raves about it because they make these great premade meals and they're super cheap.

I'm not sure what to think about it. It looked like a decent store but when I realised it's part of Tesco, I felt sort of dirty.

I've never heard of it and I lived in Tucson before I moved to England! I'd say check it out it can't hurt. If you no likey then at least you know and wont keep wondering about it.

When I used to do PR for Tesco a few years ago they were talking about opening up some trial stores in the US. I guess they did and called it Fresh & Easy (sounds very American). I suppose its like ASDA is part of WalMart over here.

Fresh&Easy has been in California for several years.  Around 2006 or 2007 people in the small inland town where I lived had "Boycott Fresh&Easy" yard signs out.  I'm not sure why, but I assumed it was something to do with their business practices.  I've been there several times and their food seemed fine, and relatively cheap.
