Chocolate Almond Bark for Christmas Candy?
« on: December 01, 2009, 09:04:47 PM »
I want to start making all the homemade Christmas candy my grandma usually makes but I don't know where in Leeds to find chocolate almond bark. I could use normal chocolate bars and add parafin? but I'm not sure where to find that either. This will be my first Christmas in England and I really want to be able to make all of our traditional treats for family and friends here.

I checked online quickly and the only ingredients for choc. almond bark is unsweetened chocolate, vanilla, sugar, and almonds--basically melted together in a pot.

I use Green & Black's brand unsweetened bar chocolate from the baking section.  You could be really lazy, skip the sugar and just use already sweetened chocolate (from the candy section)--as dark or light as you wanted.

Are you looking for already made chocolate almond bark or looking to make your own?

I would prefer already made because I'm worried about it setting properly.
