The Curious Incident With the Dog in the Night-time
« on: April 17, 2004, 01:25:15 PM »
Anyone else read this? I've had a ton of recommendations so I went out and bought it yesterday. I'm only on page 35 but so far it's pretty good.

I thought it was very enlightening and certainly gave me a better understanding of autism. I wondered how the author did it. I mean, although I can't be sure he portrayed everything acturately, he seemed to have an incredible insight, if it is the way people with autism think.

I thought it was fabulous. I read it in a day. I couldn't help but start thinking and talking the way Christopher did for hours after I finished it. It was a fabulous read and very interesting.

My son has Asperger's syndrome and reading this book was like listening to his voice coming from the back seat of the car! Brilliantly written.

I read this book with my book club and it was wonderful.  It gave a wonder perspective into Asperger's syndrome.

Carla, I'm pleased that, as a parent, you felt it was a good representation.  it was one of the points we discussed at the club and is reassuring to know it was well done.

I thought it was a really good book. My nephew has Asperger's so it was even more interesting as he is 15 as well
