Visa Waiver fees
« on: December 06, 2009, 11:29:38 AM »
Hubby is the Brit and we are going to the US from Canada via boat for New Year's. It is usually about USD $6 for his visa under the VWP.

Anyone know the up to date fee, as I can't find it anywhere?

TIA!

J, we've never paid anything for S to enter the US.  ???

He fills out the form, they fingerprint & photograph him, question him - that's about it.

ETA:  Oh yeah, the last couple of times - you register online electronically beforehand now (ESTA approval), but they didn't seem to have all the bugs worked out because he still had to fill out the form & do all the same stuff as before, so I'm not really sure what the electronic thingie added, but oh well...  Here:

Weird, B always has to pay a small fee! ETA: Maybe because I am not American, there's a fee?

I'll take a look at the link!

In the link you gave me it says:

'Is there a fee to use the Visa Waiver Program (VWP)?

There is a small land border fee for VWP travelers arriving at land ports of entry, per 8 CFR § 103.7(b)(1).' If S arrives by air, explains no fee!

But of course, no listing the cost. Argh!
