We were in Egypt over the holidays, i Sharm ElSheihk and had a great time.

Warm weather and water and plenty for everyone to do. Exchange rate is good too.

We stayed at the Maritine Jolie Ville, on the beach in Sharm. They have a day care that was staffed staffed with 3 adults (for only 6 children) and at least one employee was English. We don't have children but it looked pretty good. There is a kiddie pool and most of the restaurants had kids menus like we are used to and / or the kids ate for free.
The beach is safe, very calm. The pool area is huge and there is an area for kids.

We are going back this year. We stayed at the Tropicana Grand Azur in Nabq Bay and while it was a nice hotel (very large) we will stay closer to Na'ama Bay as we enjoyed the nightlife there. The hotel we were in had a fantastic kids club and a special pool just for kids. For older kids they had several large flume slides. The food was excellent as well.

It is defiantly not somewhere I would go to past the end of April tho. I think the temps would be sweltering. I don't do REALLY hot weather. The day we went to Luxor on our daytrip it was reaching my limit and this was the end of October!

The snorkeling is out of this world!
