Went in for a C-section today...and my little tinker
« on: February 17, 2010, 08:14:09 PM »
Has turned herself around, so guess what...no c-section today! So I spent 8 hours in hospital waiting for a section, got prepped, shaved etc, got down to the operating room, they did a scan and the little bugger has turned herself around and is in position for a natural delivery.

So I am completely emotionally drained, exhausted, my muff is shaved, and I have no baby...yet.

Let the waiting game begin. What a let down.

On the upside, I don't have to have major abdominal surgery...

Wow!  I wouldn't have guessed they would do that!  But yes, at least you don't have to have surgery.  Here's hoping the little one starts making plans for the exit!

Aw, dueling emotions!  I wish I knew when this one would decide to finally make it's appearance!   :P  Not knowing I think is the worst part...

Hopefully everything will go smoothly from here on out for you Racheeeee!

Well, glad you didn't have to go through the surgery! Sorry you have to wait longer, though... Question- why did they shave your muff if you aren't having a vaginal delivery?

Oh man, I can't even imagine how frustrating that must be! Hope the little one comes soon, and probably when it's finally over you'll be glad you could go natural and not have to cope with a longer recovery.

(I was wondering about the shaving too, I thought they didn't do that anymore?)

Anyway hang in there, it can't be too much longer -- good luck!!!

I think it's because they cut right at your bikini line. I could be wrong, though.

Hey, think of the shaving this way: you'd usually have to pay for that sort of thing. ;)

Sorry to hear it didn't go as planned. What a let down! Fingers crossed that baby comes out soon.

Yes, I don't think they actually shaved everything, did they? I was just shaved right along the top I think.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon
