More citizenship changes?
« on: February 10, 2010, 06:26:50 AM »
When reading this article:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/immigration/7198329/Labours-secret-plan-to-lure-migrants.html

This statement at the very end caught my eye:

Quote
Alan Johnson, the Home Secretary, will announce today moves to make it harder to earn citizenship.

More tinkering in the pipeline then? Or maybe it will just be clarifications on stuff we already know. Like the number of volunteer hours needed for earned citizenship, the actual specific date for its start, etc. Anyway, watch this space.

I saw that was included under the other link you provided about the Tier 4.  Glad I am going tomorrow to the NCS appointment.

Glad I am going tomorrow to the NCS appointment.

Lucky you. I've got 119 days to go!  [smiley=mad.gif]

Seems like most of what we already know...

If anyone is interested in seeing UKY's response to this consultation, they can pm or email me.  UKY collaborated with both ILPA and ARIA in responding.
