Job Description needed?

I am in the process of applying for Tier 1 General.  Recently I ran into an acquaintance who had a friend who applied for a work visa in the past 2 years.  He told me that his friend was denied the first time he applied since he did not include a job description from his previous employer. I was surprised by this since I have not read anywhere that you would need to includethis information. 

I realize that the Points Based System is fairly new and perhaps the job description was needed prior to that.  Either way I figured I would double check since this was news to me.  Anyone know anything about including a job description for Tier 1 General?
