Setting up UK Skype number

Hi,

I'd like to set up a UK skype number. Ideally I'd like for it to forward those calls to my US mobile in the end. How the heck do I do this?? I tried searching the Skype site and this site and could not figure out where to start. I'm not even sure what it's called to search for it!

I'm not sure if you can forward calls to your cell, but you can definitely get a UK number at least.

You might want to also check out Vonage.  I've used them here in the US and really liked the service.  I know they do let you set up virtual US numbers, and it seemed like they had better options available.  (May be biased since I'm familiar with them, but have never had good luck with Skype)

When you buy a subscription to skype it will allow you to have the call forwarding option.

I have a Skype "to go" number with a UK number and a US Skype number for US people.
Forwarding is just an optiong that charges you when you use it...

Wow, thanks everyone. I'm assuming call forwarding works even if it's forwarding to a non-local number? As in, I want to set up a UK skype, but if it forwards, it would go to a US number.

I just tested my US skype number I can forward to my UK cell number so I dont see why it can't go the other way - they dont care they get paid <g>
