Britax car seat on flight?

We're due to fly to the US with BA next week and intend to bring our Britax First Class car seat with us. Will this be ok? Our daughter is only 14 months, but we decided to go ahead and pay for a full-priced child's ticket (2+ years) in order for her to be able to sit in her car seat. We thought she'd be more comfortable this way and, hopefully, happier.

Also, what do we do with our stroller? It's a fully-collapsable umbrella style. Can we just bring both the car seat and stroller with us to the gate and check them there? Or do we need to check the stroller in with our checked luggage?

The stroller you can gate check no problem...not too sure about the car seat though, it's best to check with your particular airline and ask if it's approved for air travel (as some carseats are not) and will fit in the seat of your particular cabin.

You need to check if it is FAA approved, if so then you have to be allowed to take it on board (as long as you have purchased a seat and it fits, which it should if it is an international plane).

They will gate check the stroller, and they may bring it on board or put it under. If they put it under you won't get it back until baggage claim, but they have always been able to put it on board for us which means we get it as we deplane (at least on BA).
