Punny signs
« on: April 13, 2010, 09:03:37 PM »
Saw a driving instructor car the other day with the big sign on top - the business name was

EL PASSO  ;D

Anyone else seen any bad puns lately?

I live in Madison, WI.  Just north of the city is ABS, a huge company that handles artificial insemination for cattle.  In other words, a huge bull sperm bank.

They have a sign out along the highway, and every week they put up two different, horrible puns (one on each side), so whenever I drive back to my hometown I get to see them.  Tonight, the northbound message was 'ABS Bulls are on an Egg Hunt.'  The southbound was something about their Best Jerseys (cos it was opening week of baseball season).

I'm really going to miss that sign.  :)

There used to be a chain of chicken restauraunts near where I grew up in MA called BB Binks.  They were famous for the puns on their signs but the only one I can remember was something like

7 days without broasted chicken makes one weak
