Hello from down south!

Hi all! I am new here (obviously) and a native of GA, US. Fingers crossed, I'll be attending the University of York in October (accepted, have housing, now waiting on money) for an MA. Anyway, just wanted to pop my head in and introduce myself!

Welcome! Im from Alabama and there seems to be alot of Southerner's on here. When I went to school here, I met a ton of other Southerner's and it was great to have a piece of home in the UK.

Another Southerner here living in Newbury.  I would kill for just one hot humid day here like the ones back home.
