I'm new on here. Well I guess the new me is new on here if that makes any sense. I used to be a member years ago but didn't participate much as I was married.
However now I am seperated from british hubby (who lives abroad) and stuck in the uk for legal reasons with the children. So thought it may be a good idea to re-introduce myself and find some american friends.
I am a 31 years old single mother with 3 children and live about 25 minutes from London. Arrived in the uk in 2002 due to having an arranged marriage with husband which unfortunately failed in 2008 after he took a job in the middle east. Was there for 10 months and returned to the uk in 2009 with my children so i could have some freedom and we could be in more familiar surroundings. (wish I could have gone back to america)
I just went through quite a bit of domestic violence in my last relationship and have been picking up the pieces ever since. But now that my confidence is returning it is time for me to reach out and make some new friends.
And I would love to meet some Americans. It has been so long since I have lived back there and it would be like bringing a bit of home back into my life since my family cannot come and live out here and I cannot go back at this time.
