first off, I am SO glad I found this place! Maybe my question will finally be answered
.
So... I am a United States citizen (with a US passport) but am in the UK for 3 years on a student visa. I want to travel to Spain for 2 weeks this summer and am wondering if I need a Schengen visa?
I've heard multiple answers, yes and no from my university alone. lots of no's on websites and then yes from the company that helps issue the visa although on THEIR website it's a no. I've tried contacting the Spanish consulate themselves in London but getting a hold of them is near to impossible and as I'm nearing exams right now I have more to worry about than this holiday that is Suppose to be fun >.< needless to say I have so much stress hanging over me I'm about to have a mental breakdown.
So then I found this forum and thought perhaps people that have actually been in this situation will be able to help me. It says on websites that US citizens don't need a schengen visa, but does it make a difference if I'm in the UK on a student visa?
thank you SOOO much in advance for any answers!
