Oooh, according to this, when my time rolls around, I might get an engraved crystal paperweight! Wheee! Only one more year to go!  ;D

They give a paperweight out here in Hants as well.   :P
No professional photos either...my 6 year old had been up half the night previously being sick so we weren't looking our best.
That and I had my hair highlighted a few weeks prior and it looked really bad.

I think I'd sum up the test by saying it was tricky. None of the questions were difficult in an intellecutal sense, but there are a lot of stupid details and multiple choice answers that are really close to each other.  I can't remember the exact question now, but there was one that was something like "is the population of Wales 2 million, 2.3 million, or 2.4 million?".  So it is definitely worth your while to spend time studying the statistics.  I got several of those questions, and I was really worried that I was going to fail it for getting the details confused.

Other than that I didn't have any problems, but I did find it bizarre that the test procedure involved checking everyone's passport over and over again.  We had to show it when we checked in for the test, when they assigned us a computer, when they logged us in to take the test, when we finished the test and went into the waiting room, and when we picked up the certificates at the end.  There were only about 15 people taking it so it seemed a little excessive to me.

I haven't applied for citizenship yet, since I can't afford the fees!  I'll stay on ILR until I get a job.  I'm sure that by the time I get around to having a ceremony, the gift will be something dumb, like a tourist information pack.  That's how it always seems to work for me, anyway!
