You can grow crops at the North Pole?!  :o

If we dig out the snow, pick ax the ground, and then we place them under plastic with a heater, it usually comes out ok  ;)

Jewlz, DH came home from one of the shops here in town today with a yellow squash - I think it was a pattypan squash.  He didn't know you wanted one, or he could have picked one up for you.

When I'm off on Friday (he was off today), I'll go down there & see if they still have some!  :)

He also had corn in the husk!  And he made Zuni Stew - recipe out of our Greens cookbook.

I'm having yellow squash with dinner tonight in honor of this thread! ;D

I went to our local agricultural show on Wednesday, and there were plenty of yellow squash entered in the veg competition! I would have 'liberated' some of them for you lot, but I thought it might look too obvious! Plus, my handbag wasn't big enough.  :P

Haha!  ;D Well, thanks for thinking of me, anyway.  ;) My mom found some seed packets and she is going to bring them with her when she comes, so hopefully my FIL and I can give them a go.  :) Won't help right now, but it will really be something to look forward to!  ;D
