When I move from Switzerland to the UK, am I able to deduct moving expenses on my US tax return?

From what I have read, my understanding is you aren't able to apply this deduction to foreign income that you are taking the exclusion for (so you could only use the deduction for income that goes over the exclusion limit).

I am not sure what the answer would be if you were using tax credits instead of the exclusion, though.

Not sure about your US return, but I think you can deduct them from your Swiss return. At least I hope so :D (even if you're taxed at the source in CH, you can file a return if you think it would give you a refund)
