This waiting is killing me :(
« on: July 14, 2010, 06:38:47 PM »
We applied online for my fiances visa and the consulate received the documents last Thursday...We paid the settlement priority fee so while 15 business days doesn't seem so bad I have gone through every scenario in my head about the visa being denied and I am driving myself insane. We can't stop checking the email and I am starting to feel sick all the time right now :(
Kicking around...looking for answers :)

I feel your pain. I have an ulcer, and also feel "sick all the time."

All I can say is that from my understanding, they RARELY deny settlement visas. There would have to be a good reason for it. If you sent in all your paperwork, you meet the maintenance requirement, etc., there shouldn't be any cause for concern.

*hugs*

Ugh...completely understandable...the waiting is soooo bad!  Only advice I have is to try to keep yourself busy (a watched pot never boils) and try to stay positive (I think we all dreamed up every possible reason it could be denied while waiting).  I remembering reading quite a few older posts from people about waiting and it seemed the first time they left the house for the day, the email was waiting for them when they returned.  Hope you hear something soon!
