Florida boy to Bournemouth
« on: July 22, 2010, 10:38:29 AM »
Greetings.  My name is Tom, a 2nd generation Floridian.  Married a beautiful young lady named Debbie from Bournemouth 11 years ago and we have a 4 year old daughter (we are both in our 50s).  We have lived in Florida all this time but now have decided to make the move to Dorset.

We have spent a lot of time in Bournemouth over the years so I am fairly familiar with the area and love it.  Just got my visa in the mail yesterday, marked "Indefinite Leave to Enter", and now we are counting down the weeks.

Finding this forum was serendipitous and I'm having fun reading some of the posts here.  Thanks!

Yay another Bournemouthian! (Bournemouther?  Bournemouthite?)
On s'envolera du même quai
Les yeux dans les mêmes reflets,
Pour cette vie et celle d'après
Tu seras mon unique projet.

Je t'aimais, je t'aime, et je t'aimerai.

Welcome to UK Yankee.

I moved from St Petersburg, FL to South England last year.

There are lots of differences between FL and the UK.  But not comparing the two has made the transition easier for me and not to get too homesick for the Sunshine State.

Enjoy :)

Married a UF grad so I spent a bit of time in Gainesville...
