KFC  (UK)
« on: November 14, 2003, 03:32:32 PM »
was at KFC in Notts the other day (my first KFC-UK visit)...

[smiley=thumbsdown.gif] boooo...

where are the mashed potatoes and gravy?!  i thought Brits LOVED mash!!!   they only have crappy french fries there... :'(   (they didn't have ketchup, either...)

no pot pies?!  i was shocked!  Brits seem to LOVE meat pies... why wouldn't they have these here?! :'(

they also don't have the different types of chicken, like extra crispy, Colonel's secret recipe, etc...  i think it was just regular or spicy...

the chicken was literally SQUIRTING GREASE when you bit into it.   how disgusting... :P

booooo to KFC-UK.   :(

I hate KFC in the UK as well. There is an American Air Force base nearby and a KFC close to it, it was my first KFC-UK experience and the lack of mashed potatoes & gravy was heart breaking. That's my favorite part!!! My MIL thinks having mashed potatoes with fried chicken is weird, she assumes Americans would automatically eat "fries" with it. Bah.  ::)
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!

i can eat an entire "family-sized" mash potatoes & gravy from  KFC in a single sitting...

i think that will be my first meal when i go back in December...

maybe with a side of cheese curds from Festival Foods, too...

and a chocolate laxative for desert.  [smiley=laugh4.gif]

(i know... i'm disgusting, aren't i? ::))

They are 100% foul here. And where's the coleslaw?

I've not been to a KFC here and now I don't think I will. I have been to locally owned fried chicken shops and they were always great. There's one by Leeds Uni that sells 'American Southern Fried Chicken' and by god, it was the best I've ever had.
