Tier 4 Visa Money Question
« on: July 01, 2010, 05:17:57 AM »
So my classes start on Sept 27. I will have the funds in my account on the 5th of July which will mean I have to wait 28 days after that to make my application. So my question is, should I wait to do the online application until after the 28 days, or does the 28 days go off of when you send your complete information (including online app, passport, ect.)?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I am just really paranoid of messing something up. Thanks!!

In order to meet the requirement, you need to send an official bank statement showing that the money has been in the account for at least 28 days... which means that you can't send off the application documents until you have this bank statement (which will be at least the beginning of August). You can complete the online application before this as long as you have enough time to get the bank statement and for your documents to reach the consulate within 14 calendar days of your biometrics appointment.

Bear in mind though that if you send the documents by regular mail it could take up to a couple of months for the visa to be approved. You can pay $150 + tax on the Worldbridge website for 48-hour processing (priority service) or you can try to make an in-person premium service Tier 4 appointment at the relevant consulate to get it processed same-day (extra cost of $100 + tax) - see: https://www.visainfoservices.com/Pages/Welcome.aspx
